  THIS CHURCH IS STARTING TO BUY PLOTS AS THEY BECOME "AVAILABLE" IN ORDER TO EXPAND THE PARKING LOT.
  
  IT IS CHEAPER FOR THEM TO BUY THE HOMES INSTEAD OF THE GOODWILL NEXT DOOR.

  Please spread the word. This is from a church that asks people to be kind and loving to their neighbors. What they plan to do is not neighborly. It's cruel. There are many elderly living on this street and two homes have already been bought. No one will want to live here with a parking lot view. I ask again that you spread the word of what this church is doing.
  
  The neighborhood is starting to put together a petition in order to ask them to stop.

  I went there several months & honestly never wanted to return to another church after the experience there. I do understand. It's a HUGE church with so much to offer as far as a gym, basketball courts, space for children's activities, a diverse curriculum, etc but there's NO love at this church by the members except the staff. The staff is very courteous, returns calls, & keeps counseling sessions but a few things I noticed were the door greeters weren't that friendly & were thoroughly confused themselves. Each week I visited for almost 3 weeks, I would ask a dozen people where to go for class & either nobody knew, 'thought' (though it wasn't) the class was meeting somewhere else for S.S. etc. The information desks just didn't know where to send people. I told them I was a young adult & single & got placed w/ married couples!!! Then when I finally went to the singles, they didn't pray before or after the class, invite me to anything they had going on, had several sitting at tables gabbing amongst themselves & yet ran down other people within the church! I sat alone at a table overhearing gossip before & during part of the class. It was horrible! Luckily, I am trying out another church & though it's much smaller, so far I truly enjoy it. I've looked for 2 years for a church! I wasn't being judgmental but wanting to make sure I was committing to a church that truly loved the Lord, wasn't about materialism & lived out what they preached. I hope you do find what you are looking for. I also won't ever return. It's very "S. Baptist" but they are NOT outgoing people. I heard more gossip than experienced love or teaching. MUCH MUCH more gossip!

  Southern Hills is a wonderful, awesome godly church, I'm so grateful that this church is here, my children are excited about southern hills as well. Great, loving, caring church home for any and all!
